Vivo announces V1 with 4G support, Android Lollipop in India, V1 Max coming soon

Chinese smartphone manufacturer Vivo introduced its new V range of smartphones in India, which will be priced between Rs. 15,000 and Rs. 20,000. "With 'V' Series we bring unbeatable proposition, price and products in the mid-segment category.", the company said.

The Vivo V1 is the first phone in the V series to be available in India. It will be available later this month via Vivo's authourised stores in the country. The exact pricing is not yet revealed. According to Vivo the V1 packs "cutting-edge technologies, exclusive music features and the highest quality camera shots,"

Vivo V1 sports 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) display and is powered by 64-bit quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor (four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.4GHz) paired with Adreno 306 GPU and 2GB RAM. On-board storage is 16GB, expandable via microSD card up to 128GB. It runs Funtouch 2.1 UI on top of Android 5.0 Lollipop. Camerawise it comes with 13-megapixel main camera with LED flash on the back. On the front there is a 5-megapixel shooter that comes with wide-angle lens, 6P lenses and f/2.0 aperture. The dual-SIM Vivo V1 supports 4G LT, Bluetooth, WiFi, Micro-USB and GPS/aGPS.  It is fueled by 2300mAh battery and supports Stamina mode to extend the life of the phone. It comes in Silver and Gold colors.
 
The company also announced that it will also launch the Vivo V1 Max in the country soon, but did not provide specifications, availability details and pricing of the device.
