Amazon India lists Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime with 2GB RAM, 16GB storage
A new Xiaomi smartphone, Redmi 2 Prime has been listed (now taken down) on Amazon India with complete specs. It is a beefed up version of Redmi 2 with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. Apart from the double RAM/ROM, rest of the specs are similar to Redmi 2.
Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime is equipped with quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor, 4.7-inch 720p IPS fully laminated display, Android 4.4 KitKat with MIUI 6 on top, 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, 2-megapixel front shooter, WiFi, Bluetooth, Dual-SIM & microSD card slot, 4G LTE with support for TD-LTE 2300MHz (Band 40) and FDD-LTE 1800MHz (Band 3) for India and 2200mAh battery.
Unfortunately, the Amazon India listing does not reveal the price of Redmi 2 Prime. The Xiaomi Redmi 2 was launched in India for Rs. 6,999 and last month Xiaomi reduced the price of the handset to Rs. 5,999. So, it could be possible that Redmi 2 Prime will cost Rs. 6,999. It will be competing against Micromax's Yu Yuphoria and Canvas Spark.
