Sony Xperia C5 Ultra with 13MP selfie camera goes official


Sony Mobiles has announced the Xperia C5 Ultra, the company's latest selfie-centril smartphone. The phone has very thin side bezels and sports premium aluminum design with a slightly curved back. It comes in single SIM and dual-SIM variants. Sony is touting the Xperia C5 Ultra as its best selfie-centric smartphone till date. 

For taking selfies Xperia C5 Ultra sporta a 13-megapixel auto-focus camera with selfie flash for extensive and uniform light outreach. It comes with Sony Exmor RS sensor, Auto scene recognition, 22mm wide-angle lens with 88-degree field of view, 4x digital zoom, HDR mode, Red-eye deduction and Full HD video recording capabilities. 

The main camera unit is also 13-megapixel accompanied by soft LED flash, Sony Exmor RS sensor, 25mm wide-angle lens with an 80-degree field of view and Full HD (1080p) video recording capabilities. The phone is also loaded with multiple camera apps like Style portrait, AR mask and Face in, which offer several photo effects.
The Sony Xperia C5 Ultra features 6-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS display with Sony’s TV technology Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2. Inside there is a 1.7GHZ octa-core MediaTek MT6752 64-bit processor paired with Mali 760 MP2 GPUS and 2GB RAM. On-board storage is 16GB, further expandable via microSD card up to 200GB. It runs Android 5.0 Lollipop. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.1, USB 2.0, USB OTG, GPS and NFC. It comes with Sony's 3D Surround Sound technology, Clear Audio+ sound improvement software, Clear Bass and xLOUN experience for immersive media experience. It is fueled by 2930mAh battery that promises to deliver 14 hours of talk time and 769 hours of standby time. It comes in black, white and glossy soft mint  colors.

Sony Xperia C5 Ultra will be available in selected countries across emerging markets from mid-August. The pricing details has not been announced yet.
