ZUK to partner with Elephone and Cyanogen to promote ZUK Z1 internationally


ZUK, Lenovo's online-only brand introduced its first smartphone named ZUK Z1. Currently it is available only in China. The Z1 will also be released internationally and ZUK has announced that it has partnered with Elephone and Cyanogen for this.

Elephone will be responsible for the international marketing and sales of the ZUK Z1. While Cyanogen's OS 12.1 based on Android 5.1 Lollipop will run on the international version of ZUK Z1. The Chinese version runs Android 5.1 Lollipop with ZUI on top.

The ZUK Z1 features a 5.5-inch 1080p display, is equipped with 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 SoC with Adreno 330 GPU, 3GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. Camerawise, it sports 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 8-megapixel front shooter. Other features include aircraft-grade aluminum metal frame, reversible USB 3.0 Type-C port, 4G LTE support and fingerprint sensor.

ZUK Z1's international launch press conference is scheduled for August 12 in Shenzhen, China. The company will shed more lights on the international version of Z1.
