iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus tipped to sport 2GB RAM, iPad Pro could have 4GB RAM

At a media event on September 9, Apple unveiled the next generation of iPhones and iPads. While the company revealed details about the innards, it did'nt say anything about the RAM. Now, details of iPhone 6s, 6s Plus and iPad Pro's RAM has been revealed, thanks to Adobe (for the iPad Pro) and an Apple Support employee (for the iPhone 6s).

A reddit post claims that the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus pack 2GB RAM, which is in-line with several rumors that made rounds online. The post says, "The 6s has 2GB RAM," referring to the iPhone 6s and citing access to internal Apple documents. The iPhone 6 Plus was not mentioned, but as its predecessor, they come with almost identical set off innards except the display. The new iPhone models come with a 64-bit A9 chip with motion co-processor M9 integrated on the SoC.

In addition a new Apple promo video hinted that the iPhone 6s has a 1715mAh battery. Apple has already revealed that the iPhone 6s battery, offers a talk time of up to 14 hours on 3G and up to 240 hours of standby time. Furthermore, the handset is listed to deliver an Internet usage time of up to 10 hours on 3G and up to 11 hours on Wi-Fi. The iPhone 6s can offer HD video playback time of up to 11 hours and audio playback of up to 50 hours.

As for iPad Pro, it is said to pack 4GB RAM. The information comes form Adobe's blog post about its new Creative Cloud mobile apps. The blog post reads "During Apple's keynote, we also demonstrated the extraordinary speed and precision of Adobe's Creative Cloud mobile apps on Apple's new iPad Pro. iPad Pro is great for creative workflows with a high res 12.9″ touch screen display at 2732 x 2048 pixels, A9X chip, and 4GB RAM." The information was later removed for the blog post

If this is true, this will be the highest RAM capacity ever used on iOS device since the launch of iPad Air 2 which has 2GB RAM.
