Microsoft Band 2 renders surfaces, shows curved display and metallic finish

Microsoft is holding a press event on October 6 to present latest Windows 10 products. One of the products could be the Microsoft Band 2 and renders of the device have leaked out courtesy of MicrosoftInsider.

The Microsoft Band 2, codenamed 'Envoy' now sports a larger curved display, which should significantly improve the wearbility as compared to the hard rectangular band seen in the first gen. The front panel has a metallic build and the battery is placed underneath the display instead of on the side found on the first gen.

Microsoft's new fitness tracker will be equipped with numerous motion sensors that monitors heart rate, counting steps, number of calories burned and more. In addition, it will be equipped with an altitude sensor to measure the height of your exercises (walking up and down the stairs).

The fitness tracker will Sync with iOS, Android and Windows Phone via Microsoft's Health app, allowing users to analyze their workout and exercises to achieve their goals.

A build of Windows 10 for internet of things (IoT) is said to be at the core of the Microsoft Band 2.
