Dell XPS 12 2-in-1 tablet more details and product shots leaked

Dell plans to release a new 12.5-inch 2-in-1 Windows tablet with a 4K display dubbed XPS 12. Some details of the tablet has already been outed earlier and now we are treated to more including product shots.

The new details were revealed by Dell Malaysia website, which listed the the XPS 12 as “coming soon” (now taken down), outing most of the specs.

According to the listing, Dell XPS 12 has a 4K Ultra HD Sharp IGZO display and will also come with an optional Full HD display model. It will be equipped with Intel Core M Skylake processor and will be available with Core M3, M5 or M7 options, clubbed with 4GB or 8GB RAM, and house an M.2 SATA solid state drive.

Other features include 8MP/5MP (rear/front) camera, Dual-band Gigabit Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, two Thunderbolt 3 enabled USB Type-C ports and SD card reader. It is fueled by 30-watt-hour battery, weighs 790g and is made from magnesium alloy. It also supports Dell's Active Pen.

The tablet has an 'innovative magnetic connection' that allows you to switch fromt tablet mode to laptop mode. There is an optional detachable keyboard dock which comes in two versions, one slimmer and lighter edition (1.3mm thickness) and the other a high-performing edition with backlit keys, a glass trackpad, USB Type-C, two USB 3.0 and an HDMI ports. 

The Dell XPS 12 is likely to be announced later this month at Dell World 2015. The tablet will be competing against Apple's iPad Pro, Microsoft Surface Pro 4 and the recently announced Google's Pixel C.
