Yu Yureka Plus running stock Android launched for Rs. 8,999

YU launched the Yureka Plus back in July this year running Cyanogen OS. Now the brand has relaunched Yureka Plus with stock version of Android 4.4 KitKat. It is upgradable to Android 5.0.2 Lollipop.

Specs wise nothing has changed, the YU Yureka Plus features 5.5-inch 1080p display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and equipped with Snapdragon 615 SoC with Adreno 405 GPU, 2GB RAM and 16GB expandable storage. There is a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 5-megapixel front shooter. It has dual-SIM slots, supports 4G LTE and is fueled by 2500mAh battery.

YU Yureka Plus with stock Android is priced at Rs. 8,999 and is available for purchase via Amazon India. It comes in Moondust Grey color.

The move appears to negate the fact that YU handsets were focused on customization which came pre-loaded with Cyanogen. However, this is not surprising, given the fact that YU recently launched the Yunique running stock Android with an option to run Cyanogen OS.

Now the big question is that, is YU parting ways with Cyanogen? Probably the brand's high-end smartphone YU Yutopia might answer this question. The handset is expected to launch soon.
