MSI WS60 workstation notebook refreshed with Skylake processors


MIS announced a refreshed WS60, a ultra portable workstation with a 15.6 inch display, support for an Intel Core i7 or Xeon Skylake processor and NVIDIA graphics.

The MSI WS60 comes with a choice of either an Core i7-6700HQ or Xeon E3-1505M processors, paired with up to 3GB DDR4 RAM and carries an NVIDIA Quadro M100M GPU which has 2GB RAM, which helps perform challenging visualization workloads such as 3D-modeling and rendering calculations seamlessly.

As for that 15.6-inch display, you can opt for a Full HD model with anti-glare, or a 3840 x 2160 'wide-view edition' screen. FOr storage supports 2.5 inch drives and M.2 SATA SSDs for storage. It runs Windows 10 Pro.

There is also a HDMI port, mini Display port, Gigabit Ethernet, WiFi 802.11 a/c, Bluetooth 4.1, Thunderbolt 3 (USB Type-C) port, three USB 3.0 ports, two USB 2.0 ports and a SDXC card reader. 

MSI says the WS60 can power two external 4K monitors at once. It has 2.1 speakers from Danish audio master DYNAUDIO. The sound is powered by Nahimac sound technology which is used by military and aeronautics industry because of its quality and precision. MSI has also equipped its Cooler Boost 3 dual cooling system to keep the system cool while performing heavy task.

All this hardware is fitted into a chassis that has a thickness of 19.9mm and weight of 1.95kg.
