Samsung Galaxy View images and specs outed by online retailer

At IFA 2015, Samsung teased a large screen tablet, the Galaxy View (SM-T670). The same tablet appeared on GFXBench, outing key specifications. Now the Galaxy View has been listed (now taken down) on Adorama, a U.S online retailer, revealing product shots and specifications of the tablet.

The description says that the Galaxy View will offer portable, touchable TV experience. "The Samsung Galaxy View is TV reimagined for the streaming age. The 18.4" FHD large screen brings you a portable, touchable TV experience plus a bigger window to your favorite apps and content so you can do more, view more and play more. Enjoy the home theater experience - anywhere!" reads the description.

The Samsung Galaxy View features 18.4-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) TFT display and is equipped with 1.6GHz octa-core Exynos 7580 processor with Mali-T720 GPU, 2GB RAM and 32GB inbuilt storage, further expandable via microSD card up to 128GB. It runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box. There is a 2.1-megapixel camera on the front capable of recording 1080p videos. Connectivity features include 4G LTE (Cat. 6), 3G HSPA+, WiFi a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.1 LE, A-GPS/GLONASS. It is fueled by 5700mAh battery which delivers up to 8.5 hours of continuous playback. For charging the tablet it uses a 19V D/C adapter. There is also high quality stereo speakers.

There is no physical home button on the tablet, which means it will have on-screen navigation keys. The tablet has a housing at the back that integrates a large handle and a stand to help users carry it around and place it one a surface for hands-free use.

The Samsung Galaxy View is priced at $599. The retailer is taking pre-orders for the tablet now, but hasn't stated when the product will be available, but states that any pre-orders placed will be shipped on a first-come first-serve basis.
