Samsung has officially unveiled its 18.4-inch Galaxy View tablet. It is being touted as the "Largest Android mobile device on the market". Samsung says that the Galaxy View has been designed with a video-centric interface in mind and the screen is optimized for media consumption
The Samsung Galaxy View features a 18.4-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) TFT LCD display. To support it on a tablet, it has a built-in 2-way kickstand, which also doubles up as a handle as well to make it easy for users to carry it around. Inside there is an 1.6GHz octa-core Exynos 7580 processor with Mali-T720 GPU and 2GB RAM. It comes in two storage variants-32GB and 64GB, further expandable via microSD card up to 128GB. It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop. There is a 2.1-megapixel front facing camera, which can record 1080p videos.
On the connectivity front, the tablet supports 4G LTE (Cat.6) (via Nano-SIM card), 3G HSPA+, WiFi a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.1 LE, A-GPS and GLONASS. IT is fueled by 5700mAh battery which offers up to 8 hours of continuous video playback on a single charge. It also has dual 4-watt speakers. The tablet measures 451.8 x 275.9 x 11.9mm, weighs 2.65kg and comes in Black color only
The tablet has a custom home screen featuring entertainment apps like Netflix, Hulu and YouTube. Swiping on the next screen show the usual Android home screen with folders and apps. The top left section of the custom home
screen shows up apps from cable providers including Comcast, DirectTV
and Time Warner Cable.
The Pricing and availability of the Galaxy View is not yet revealed
officially by Samsung, but there was an online listing seen from a US Store which shows the pricing to be $599.
At IFA 2015, Samsung teased a large screen tablet, the Galaxy View (SM-T670). The same tablet appeared on GFXBench, outing key specifications. Now the Galaxy View has been listed (now taken down) on Adorama, a U.S online retailer, revealing product shots and specifications of the tablet.
The description says that the Galaxy View will offer portable, touchable TV
experience. "The Samsung Galaxy View is TV reimagined for the streaming age. The

For charging the tablet it uses a 19V D/C adapter. There is also high quality stereo speakers.
There is no physical home button on the tablet, which means it will have on-screen navigation keys. The tablet has a housing at the back that integrates a large handle and a stand to help users carry it around and place it one a surface for hands-free use.
The Samsung Galaxy View is priced at $599. The retailer is taking pre-orders for the tablet now, but hasn't stated when the product will be available, but states that any pre-orders placed will be shipped on a first-come first-serve basis.

Samsung teased a large screen tablet, dubbed Galaxy View (SM-T760) at its Keynote event in IFA last month. Now the tablet has appeared on GFXBenchmark database, that confirms the specs that was outed earlier.
As per the listing Samsung Galaxy View features 18.5-inch 1080p display and is equipped with 1.6GHz Octa-core Exynos 7850 processor with Mali T-720 GPU, 2GB RAM, 32GB on-board storage. There is a microSD card slot for storage expansion. It sports a 2-megapixel front shooter and is fueled by 5700mAh battery.
The listing notes the rear-facing camera as 'not supported', but earlier rumors say that there is a 8-megapixel rear camera. The 18.4-inch tablet is expected to measure 451.8 x 275.8 x 11.9mm. The same tablet recently passed SIG and RRA certification.
