Acer Liquid Z530, Liquid Z630s launched in India

Acer has launched two new Liquid series smartphones in India – the Liquid Z530 and Z630s. They run Android 5.1 Lollipop, support 4G LTE connectivity and are equipped with DTS audio-powered speakers.

The Acer Liquid Z530 features 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS OGS display and is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735 processor paired with Mali-T720 GPU, 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage, further expandable via microSD card. For imaging there is 8-megapixel auto focus rear camera with LED flash and 8-megapixel front shooter with 88-degree wide angle lens for taking selfies. The rear camera is capable of recording 1080p videos. Apart from 4G LTE, the phone supports 3G HSPA+, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS connectivity. It is fueled by 2420mAh battery. 

Acer Liquid Z630s features 5.5-inch 720p IPS OGS display and is powered by 1.3 GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6753 64-bit processor with Mali-T720 GPU, 3GB RAM and 32GB expandable storage. Camerawise, it sports 8-megapixel auto focus rear camera with LED flash, 1080p video recording capabilities and 8-megapixel front shooter with wide-angle lens for clicking selfies. It supports 3G HSPA+, 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS connectivity and is fueled by 4000mAh battery. The Liquid Z630s comes pre-installed with AcerEXTEND that enables users to take full control of their phones via cable or wirelessly using Windows-based PC.

The Acer Liquid Z530 and Acer Liquid Z630s will be available exclusively on Flipkart. The Liquid Z530 is priced at Rs. 5,999 and will be available staring today. Interestingly, to sell the Liquid 630s, Acer has opted for the flash sale model. The flash sale will be held on November 12, for which registrations will kick off today.

Acer plans to manufacture the two smartphones in India as part of the Make in India initiative. It will begin production after its Puducherry plant opens in December.

The plant will be operational by December 2015 and will have production capacity of over 1 lakh phones per month. As the demand for the smartphones increase, the investment and production capacity of the plant will also be scaled up appropriately."
