Huawei will now sell Honor smartphones on Snapdeal as well
Chinese OEM Huawei's online-only brand will no longer be an Flipkart exclusive. Starting today (Nov. 2) Huawei, will start selling some of its mobile devices on Snapdeal as well. Initially three Honor phones will be made available- Honor Bee, Honor 4X and Honor 3C on the online shopping portal.
The Honor 4X standard and Gold edition will be available for Rs. 8,999 and Rs. 9,499 respectively on Snapdeal. The Honor 4C will be up for grabs for Rs. 7,999 while the Honor Bee will cost Rs. 3,999. The prices are based on 10 per cent discount on purchases made through HDFC debit and credit cards. This is an inaugural offer and is available for limited time, after which the Honor 4X, Honor 4C and Honor Bee will sell for Rs. 9,999, Rs. 8,999 and Rs. 4,499 respectively.
Huawei said that it received overwhelming response from customers in India, and now is expanding its reach in the country with Snapdeal. The company now has one million Honor users in the country, and has set a target to sell 15-20 lakh units by the end of this year.
“Our e-brand, Honor, has received an overwhelming response from Indian customers and we are now expanding our reach with Snapdeal.com. We are confident that this partnership will help us reach out to larger group of Honor smartphone fans,” said Huawei India Consumer Business Group VP (Sales) P Sanjeev
However, Huawei will continue to sell its flagship smartphones, the Honor 7 and Honor 6 Plus, exclusively via Flipkart.
In September, Motorola expanded its online presence in the country by launching Moto E second gen, 3G and 4G variants on Amazon India and Snapdeal, shedding its Flipkart exclusive tag.
