Lenovo Vibe S1 with dual front cameras launched in India


Lenovo launched the Vibe S1 smartphone in India. The main highlight of Vibe S1 is the dual front facing camera which consists of 8-megapixel camera and 2-megapixel camera for taking selfies.

The 8-megapixel camera is to capture your image, while the 2-megapixel camera is used to analyze depth of field information to replicate human binocular vision. After clicking a selfie with both camera, you can modify the photos in various ways by selecting built-in photo editing tools. 'Blur' allows refocusing anywhere on the seflie (up to 3 focal plains) or adding a 'bokeh' photo effect to the background to stylize a selfie or simply to get rid of a photo bomber. With 'cut out' you can crop a selfie and then place on any other image and even photo taken on a rear camera.

On the rear sits a 13-megapixel camera accompanied by dual-tone LED flash, Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF) and BSI sensor. The Vibe S1 sports a premium build, with a lightweight aluminium frame that weighs 132g and measures 7.8mm. The back panel is curved and made of glass. It comes with Hybrid Dual SIM slot, which means users can either use two SIM cards or a Single SIM card alongside a microSD card.

The Lenovo Vibe S1 features 5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and is equipped with 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6752 processor with Mali T720 GPU and 3GB RAM. It comes with 32GB of expandable storage, runs Android 5.0 Lollipop and is fueled by 2500mAh battery. Connectivity features include 4G LTE, 3G, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS.

The Lenovo Vibe S1 is priced at Rs, 15,999 and is now available for purchase exclusively from Amazon India. It comes in Pearl White and Midnight Blue colors.
