Micromax Canvas Xpress 4G with 5-inch display, 2GB RAM launched for Rs. 6,599

Micromax has been aggressively pushing 4G-enabled smartphones in the Indian market. The company initially announced the Canvas Blaze 4G, Canvas Fire 4G, and Canvas Play 4G in September, followed by the launch of the Canvas 5 smartphone priced at Rs. 11,999 earlier this month.  Now, Micromax has launched the Canvas Express 4G, an entry-level smartphone in India. As the name suggests the device supports 4G LTE with support for India’s FDD-LTE band 3 and TDD-LTE band 40 4G networks.

The Micromax Canvas Xpress 4G has a 5-inch 720p IPS display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is equipped with 1GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735P processor with Mali-T720 GPU and 2GB RAM. On-board storage is 16GB, further expandable via microSD card up to 32GB. Softwarwise, it runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box. For imaging, it offers 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and OmniVision sensor. On the front there is 2-megapixel shooter. Besides 4G LTE, there is support for Dual SIM, 3G, WiFi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. It is fueled by 2000mAh battery.

The Micromax Canvas Xpress 4G is priced at Rs. 6,599 and will be available exclusively from Flipkart starting from today. It also comes with double data offer for Airtel customers for 6 months.
