QiKU Q Terra launched in India for Rs. 19,999
QiKU, a joint venture between Chinese Internet company Qihoo 360 and handset maker Coolpad, has launched the QiKU Q Terra smartphone in India. The phone sports an aluminium body and has a fingerprint sensor embedded into the back panel, which can unlock the device in just 0.5 seconds.
The QiKU Q Terra 808 sports 6-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The display uses 2.5D curved glass and flaunts ultra-thin bezels on either side. Inside there is an hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor paired with Adreno 418 GPU and 3GB RAM. On-board storage is 16GB, fiurther expandable via microSD card up to 128GB. It runs a forked version of Android 5.1.1 Lollipop dubbed 360 OS.
For imaging, there are two 13-megapixel rear camera, one with Sony IMX278 sensor which captures normal image and is capable of recording 4K videos, the other with Sony IMX214 Mono sensor which captures black and white image. When combined, the resultant image has better colour accuracy. Both are accompanied by a dual-tone LED flash. The 8-megapixel front facing camera features f/2.4 aperture, 1.4μm Pixel Size and is capable of recording 1080p videos.
The dual Hybrid sim slot can accept either 2 sim cards or a single SIM card + microSD card. Connectivity features include 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS/GLONASS and USB OTG. It is fueled by 3700mAh battery with fast charging support. The device measures 157.6 x 79.8 x 8.6mm, weighs 185g and comes in silver and gold colors.
The QiKU Q Terra is priced at Rs. 21,999, but you can get it for Rs. 19,999 if you have a Q-Invite, which will be available from December 5 via QiKU website, Forum and Gadgets360. It will be available for purchase starting December 5 exclusively on Gadgets360.
