Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro to launch on November 24
Xiaomi has scheduled an event on November 24, to introduce a new product, this time a smartphone. There is suspense over which device Xiaomi might unveil, is it Redmi Note 2 Pro or Mi 5? Now, Lin Bin co-founder and President of Xiaomi has posted a teaser image of an upcoming smartphone on weibo, indicating that it could be the Redmi Note 2 Pro.
Here's why? the teaser image shows the rear side of a smartphone with circular camera lens at the back followed by a dual-tone flash below and a circular fingerprint sensor placed below it. It also shows the metal-clad smartphone in Gold colour version. This is the same smartphone, that got certified by TENAA last week, which is the Redmi Note 2 Pro.
In addition, a new teaser was posted by Xiaomi on its official weibo account, indicating that it will be thin. The title of the Weibo post says (translated), "Phone design is very complex, each adding a new feature , may mean that other aspects of compromise ...... November 24 grand finale , willful and uncompromising." By guess, this means that Redmi Note 2 Pro being thin will not compromise on any features, for example the large battery which is rumored to be 3060mAh. This also confirms that we can expect the launch of Redmi Note 2 Pro on November 24.
As per TENAA listing, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro will sport a 5.5-inch Full HD display and equipped with MT6795 Helio X10 SoC with 2GB RAM and 16GB on-board storage (a 3GB RAM / 32GB storage variant also possible). For imaging there is 13-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel font facing camera. It will be fueled by 3060mAh battery. It should run on MIUI 7 based Android 5.0.1 Lollipop and supports 4G LTE connectivity.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro is expected to retail at a price of CNY 1099 ($170 | Rs. 11,000).
