Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro with metal body, fingerprint scanner passes through TENAA
A new variant of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2, the Redmi Note 2 Pro has been certified in China by regulatory agency TENAA outing specs and product shots. The images show that the Redmi Note Pro 2 will have metal body and a fingerprint scanner on the back under the camera.
As per TENAA listing, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro will sport a 5.5-inch Full HD display and equipped with MT6795 Helio X10 SoC with 2GB RAM and 16GB on-board storage (a 3GB RAM / 32GB storage variant also possible). For imaging there is 13-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel font facing camera. It will be fueled by 3060mAh battery. It should run on Android 5.0.1 Lollipop or later upon release.
The Redmi Note 2 Pro measures 149.8 x 75.96 x 8.75mm which is slightly thicker that the Redmi Note 2. The weight is also going up slightly from 160g to 165g.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro is expected to retail at a price of CNY 1099 ($170 | Rs. 11,000). At the said price, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro would be quite a bargain considering it has an all metal body and fingerprint sensor among other features. There are no details about its official launch.
