A new variant of the Xiaomi Redmi Note
2, the Redmi Note 2 Pro has been certified in China by regulatory agency
TENAA outing specs and product shots. The images show that the
Redmi Note Pro 2 will have metal body and a fingerprint
scanner on the back under the camera.
As
per TENAA listing, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro will sport a 5.5-inch
Full HD display and equipped with MT6795 Helio X10 SoC with 2GB RAM and
16GB on-board storage (a 3GB RAM / 32GB storage variant also possible).
For imaging there is 13-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel font
facing camera. It will be fueled by 3060mAh battery. It should run on
Android 5.0.1 Lollipop or later upon release.
The
Redmi Note 2 Pro measures 149.8 x 75.96 x 8.75mm which is slightly
thicker that the Redmi Note 2. The weight is also going up slightly from
160g to 165g.
The
Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro is expected to retail at a price of CNY 1099
($170 | Rs. 11,000). At the said price, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro
would be quite a bargain considering it has an all metal body and
fingerprint sensor among other features. There are no details about its
official launch.

Xiaomi has recently launched two new smartphones, the Mi 4i in India and Mi Note Pro in China. Now a leaked product roadmap reveals that the company is set to release a handful of devices in the coming months.
The leaked product map reveals that Xiaomi will announce four new devices in the coming months, namely, Xiaomi Mi 4s, Redmi Note 2, Redmi Note 2 Pro and Mi 5. Also revealed was the launch date an the specs of these smartphones.
The first in line is Mi 4s which will launch in June. The Mi 4s will feature 5-inch Full HD display, 13-megapixel OIS rear camera, 4-megapixel Ultrapixel front shooter. It will be powered by Snapdragon 810 processor.
Next in line are the successor to the Redmi Note which will come in two models - Redmi Note 2 and Redmi Note 2 Pro. Both devices will launch in July. The Redmi Note 2 will sport a 5.5-inch HD display and powered by Snapdragon 410 processor. It will come equipped with 13-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front facing camera.
The Redmi Note 2 Pro on the other hand features 5-inch Full HD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 4G LTE-enabled processor, 13-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel front facing camera.
The last device, the roadmap suggests is Xiaomi Mi 5, which will arrive in November. It will sport 5.2-inch QHD display, Snapdragon 820 processor, 20-megapixel rear camera and 2-megapixel front facing camera.
The launch time-frames mentioned of Xiaomi's Mi 4s, Redmi Note 2, Redmi Note 2 Pro and Mi 5 are for China region and is not for the rest of the world.
