Xiaomi launches 'Made in India' Redmi Note Prime for Rs. 8,499
Xiaomi has launched it's second 'Made in India' smartphone dubbed Redmi Note Prime and will be a part of the company's Very Mi Christmas special sale. The phone is manufactured in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh, in partnership with Foxconn Technology Group. The first 'Made in India' Xiaomi smartphone was the Redmi 2 Prime and was launched back in August.
The Redmi Note Prime is quite similar to the Redmi Note 4G, but now supports dual-SIM and has an upgraded processor with 64-bit architecture.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note Prime feature 5.5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS display and is equipped with an 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) 64-bit processor with Adreno 306 GPU and 2GB RAM. It comes with 16GB internal storage further expadnable via microSD card up to 32GB. It runs MIUI v7 based on Android 4.4 KitKat.
For imaging, it sports 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, f/2.2 aperture and can record 1080p videos. For taking selfies you get a 5-megapixel front facing camera. The dual SIM phone supports 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 LE and GPS. It is fueled by 3100mAh battery.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note Prime is priced at Rs. 8,499 and will be available in the country exclusively on Amazon India and Mi.com starting 15 December 10am onwards.
