YouTube's Trending Tab shows you viral videos 'as they take off'
YouTube has pushed a new 'Trending Tab' to users across the globe, a feature that lists viral videos 'as they take off'. In simple words showing videos people are watching, discussing and sharing the most on a day.
The Trending Tab will show top trending videos on Android, iOS and PCs. They will not include personalized videos based on type of videos the user watches and will vary in different regions and there is a little human curation in place too. Android Users can watch trending videos across a genre including topics like music, gaming and news. YouTube may also keep some particularly explicit videos out of the tab.
In addition to Trending Tabs, YouTube has also included a few UI features. The 'Ready to Play' but will tell tou when you can start playing the video with it being buffered while play and the 'Buffer Progress' feature shows the amount of data you have buffered along with remaining data needed to complete the buffer.
