Zomato gets in-app chat support for food ordering
Next time you order through restaurant discovery and food ordering app, Zomato, you will be able to chat with customer support for any order related queries. You will also be able to ask questions or share feedback at any stage of the order process.
The in-app chat feature is currently live on Zomato's app and users can message the contact centre anytime between 9am and 11pm IST across all India cities and UAE, where Zomato's online ordering service is available. The feature has been integrated through a partnership with Konotor, a mobile first user engagement platform.
The instant nature of messages will enable real time and direct line of conversation for users. The chat feature can also be used to get information on promos, track and cancel orders, and also check refund status for a rejected offer.
Zomato states that with the new chat feature it aims to simplify online ordering process and give users the option for a faster, efficient and reliable way of getting food delivered.
Zomato was founded in 2008 and has presence in 23 countries including India, United States and Australia. It features restaurant information such as scanned menus and photos sourced by local street teams, as well as user reviews and ratings. Zomato's food delivery service was launched in March this year.
