Acer announces Chromebox for meetings CXV2
Acer has announced the Chromebox for Meetings CXV2. For those unaware Chromebox for Meetings is an integrated system based on Chrome OS and includes all the necessary components (camera, remote control, etc.) to run a meeting via video conference, with the exception of monitor or display.
Just like any other Chromeboxes, Chromebox for meetings CXV2, is a small chrome OS desktop unit that can be mounted behind monitor and comes bundled with mini PC (CXV2) camera, remote control, and a microphone/speaker. It supports video-conferencing between group of up to 15 people, across various devices.
The Chromebox CXV2 is powered by Intel i7 processor with integrated graphics, and is equipped with 1080p (Full HD) resolution camera with Carl Zeiss lens and automatic low light correction, while also supports Ultra HD video output. All the datas stored in the Chromebox are encrypted and protected by its TPM (Trusted Platform Module) 1.2 chip, which securely generates cryptographic keys.
The remote features QWETY keyboard and the microphone includes wideband frequency response along with mute, end call and volume buttons.
Acer in the press release stated that the exact specifications, prices and availability will vary by region. The company is yet to reveal pricing and availability details.
