Asus ZenFone Zoom with 3X optical zoom launched in India for Rs. 37,999


Asus at an event in Agra, launched its "most advanced photography-focused smarphone, the ZenFone Zoom. It is priced at Rs. 37,999 and is now available to purchase from Flipkart, and will be available via Asus stores starting February. The ZenFone Zoom also comes in a bunled version with ZenFlash and a Manfrotto-branded portable tripod that will be available in February for 39,999.

The main highlight of ZenFone Zoom is its 13-megapixel rear camera with dual LED flash, laser auto focus, PixelMaster technology, OIS and 3X optical zoom with an effective range of 28.84mm. Asus touts that with a thickness of just 11.95mm, the ZenFone Zoom is the "world's thinnest 3X optical smartphone offering up to 12X zoom-in effect." The smartphone also features physical buttons for shooting, capturing video and zooming.

Rest of the specs include 5.5-inch 1080p display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection, quad-core Intel Atom Z3590 processor with PowerVR G6430 GPU, 4G RAM, 128GB storage, microSD card slot, 5-megapixel front snapper, 4G LTE, NFC, Android 5.1 Lollipop and a 3000mAh battery with fast charging support.
