Samsung Gear S2 smartwatch to be iOS compatible later this year


The Samsung Gear S2 series was launched at IFA 2015 in September last year. Following the launch there were reports that the Gear S1 will support iOS devices. Now at CES 2016, Samsung has officially announced that Gear S2 will get iOS compatability later this year. 

Samsung said that the iOS support is undergoing development and will be out later this year. Samsung did not mention the exact time frame.

To recall, Samsung Gear S2 runs Tizen OS and apart from Samsung Galaxy smartphones, works with Android devices running Android 4.4 KitKat or higher and having at least 1.5GB RAM.
