Samsung working on Apple's Live Photo-like feature
When Apple launched the iPhone 6s it came with a new feature called Live Photos that captures 1.5 seconds of video before and after an image is snapped to create a GIF like image. Now a new report claims that Samsung is working on its own version of Live Photos, which could be called 'Vivid Photos'
Vivid Photos is still under developement and works as same as Apple's Live photos. The report further note that Samsung is planning to launch this feature along with the Galaxy S7, but will so be rolled to as a part of future software updates for other Samsung Galaxy devices.
The report citing an unnamed Samsung software engineer states that, the name is not yet finalized and it could be changed before the launch that could be called Vivid Photos or Timeless Photos. While Apple's Live Photos supported sound capture as well, Samsung's Vivid Photos will not capture Sound. This will enable users to share Vivid Photos on social networks as a GIF image.
Samsung has not yet officially put out the word, that it working on such feature, so it is suggested to take this report with a pinch of salt.
