Xiaomi teases transparent protective case for Mi 5
Xiaomi's flagship Mi 5 will be presented at an event in China, and MWC 2016 on February 24. Ahead of the presentation, the Chinese smartphone maker has teased a clear protective case for the Mi 5. Meanwhile, Xiaomi has also sent out invites for the Mi 5 launch event in China. (above)
The brand says that the case will be just 0.45mm thick and also revealed that the camera will be present on the left corner, while the USB Type-C port will be on the bottom with dual speakers. Hence putting an end to the rumor and confirming the Mi 5 will have USB Type-C.Xiaomi has already confirmed some of the the features of Mi 5. Li Wanqiang has already confirmed that the Mi 5 will not have 2K display, instead will comes with a 1080p display, the reason being, high battery consumption. Also the Mi 5 will come with 16-megapixel rear camera (confirmed by Hugo Barra), dual SIM and NFC connectivity.
The Xiaomi Mi 5 will be introduced on February 24 at an event in China National Convention Center at 14:00 China time (11am IST). It will also be showcased at MWC 2016 and the event will be invitation-only media preview.
