Apple Watch Sport gets Rs. 5,000 price cut, now starts from Rs 25,900

Apple, earlier this week at its Monday event introduced new Apple Watch bands and dropped the price of the Apple Watch to $299, down from $349. Now Apple has slashed the retail price of Apple Watch Sport in India by Rs. 5,000, reports Gadget360.

With the price cut, the base model, Apple Watch Sport (38mm), will now be available in the country for Rs. 25,900, making it less expensive to purchase. Apple said that the price cut should be effective across retailer in the country, but as per the report it will take a few days before retailers across the country start selling the Sports model at the new price.

The Apple Watch comes in Sport, Watch and Watch Edition models, and do note that the price drop is limited to the Watch Sport variant and the other models are not getting price cut just yet. The Apple Watch and Watch Edition base models are still being sold for Rs. 48,900 and Rs. 8,20,000 respectively.

To recall Apple launched the Apple Watch in India last year in November, with the base model Sport (38mm) costing Rs. 30,900 and the 42mm Sport model costing Rs. 34,900. The 42mm Sport model will now reportedly cost Rs. 29,900 after the price cut.
