Google reportedly working on its own version of Amazon Echo
Amazon's Echo is a voice enabled assistant that acts as a smart-hub for your home. It has a built-in speaker that listens and respond to voice commands, and offers you with day-to-day tasks like setting reminders & alarms, playing music, weather forecast and more.
Now according to a report from The Information, Google is working on its own personal assistant hub, similar to the Amazon Echo. The report says that, Google is working alone on the voice-controlled personal device, and Nest, Google/Alphabet's own smart home company is not a part of it, as Google turned down their request to join the project.
The report does not give out any other details on Google's version of Amazon Echo, but suggests that Google will utilize its Google Now voice recognition assistant, and search capabilities to offer better answers to your questions.
Rumors indicate that Google might share details of its Smart Home device at this year's I/O conference in May.
