Lava KKT Ultra+ Union with 22 Indian language support launched for Rs. 1,500
Domestic mobile vendor Lava Internation has launched a new feature phone with support for 22 vernacular languages, the KKT Ultra+ Union. Lava claims it to be the first feature phone in the country with such wide range languages support, and said that it has been launched under the Digital India initiative.
The Lava KKT Ultra+ Union aims to minimize the communication gap that arises due to language barriers, hence, bridging the digital divide between the urban and rural population. The phone supports a total of 22 Indian languages including Assamese, Bengali, Bodo, Dogri, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Kashmiri, Konkani, Maithili, Manipuri, Malayalam, Marathi, Nepali, Oriya, Punjabi, Sanskrit, Santali, Sindhi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu. It also supports English. Users will also be able to send and receive SMS messages in all 23 languages.
Spec-wise, it comes with a 2.4-inch display, 32MB inbuilt storage, microSD card slot (for storage expansion up to 32GB), dual-SIM slot and 0.3MP VGA rear camera. It includes Bluetooth, FM radio, 3.5mm audio jack and an audio/video player. It comes with hands-free mode and auto redial as well.
The phone supports dual-charging, which allows it to be charged both by pin charger and USB charger. It is backed by 1750mAh battery that's rated to deliver up to 18 hours of talk-time.
The Lava KKT Ultra+ Union is priced at Rs. 1,500 and will be available across retail stores in the country. It comes in Black and Grey color options and has 1-year manufacturer warranty.
