Microsoft Surface Pro 3 gets price cut in India, now available for Rs. 58,999

Microsoft's Surface line up, the Surface Pro 3 and Pro 4 launched in India in January this year. Just two months after the launch the Surface Pro 3 has received a huge price cut.

Currently the Surface pro 3 is listed on Amazon India for Rs. 58,999, down about 20 percent from the launch price of Rs. 73,990. The discount is a part of Amazon's promotion on Windows 2-in-1 devices, and might be for a limited time. There is no discount on the Surface Pro 4.

Microsoft sells only one variant of the Surface Pro 3 in the country that comes with 12-inch display, Intel Core i3 processor, 4GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. It runs Windows 10 Pro. The hybrid tablet also comes with an array of accessories that includes a stylus and keyboard cover (both sold separately).

Additionally, Microsoft's US store also lists the same variant of Surface Pro 3 at a discounted price of $599, down from the usual selling price of $899.

With the huge price drop, Microsoft should attract more buyers towards its Surface line-up.
