vivo announces X6S and X6S Plus in China
Chinese smartphone maker vivo has launced the successor of vivo X6 and X6 Plus in the form of X6S and X6S Plus respectively.
Similar to their predecessor the X6S and X6S sport premium metallic design and have 360-degree fingerprint sensor on the back that can unlock the phone in just 0.4 seconds.. They run Funtouch OS based on Android 5.1 Lollipop and house dual-SIM slots.
The vivo X6S features 5.2-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) Super AMOLED display with 2.5D curved glass and is equipped with 1.8GHz octa-core Snapdragon 652 processor w/ Adreno 510 GPU, 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. For photography, it gets 13-megapixel rear camera w/ LED flash, f/2.2 aperture and PDAF, while the front facing snapper to click selfies and make video call is 8-megapixel. It is fueled by 2400mAh battery which supports fast charging.
The vivo X6S Plus flaunts a 5.7-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) Super AMOLED display with 2.5D curved glass and is also powered by 1.8GHz octa-core Snapdragon 652 processor coupled with Adreno 510 GPU and 4GB RAM, along with 64GB internal storage. It gets a 16-megapixel rear camera w/ LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, PDAF and 8-megapixel front camera. It is fueled by 3000mAh battery with fast charging supports.
Connectivity duties on X6S and X6S Plus are handled by 4G LTE, 3G, WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS. The X6S has AKM3475 audio chip, while the X6 Plus has ES9028 DAC chip and YAMAHA YSS-205X digital surround signal processing chip for an enhanced audio performance.
The vivo X6S and X6S Plus are priced at CNY 2598 ($400 | Rs. 26,500) and CNY 2998 ($465 | Rs. 20,500) respectively and are available for purchase in China from vivo's official online store. They come in Champagne Gold and Rose Gold variants.
