WhatsApp for Android gets text formatting and Google Drive document sharing
WhatsApp for Android recently got the ability for sharing document, and now the Facebook owned messaging app has received few more new features as part of the version 2.12.535 for Android.
Now you'll be able to format text inside messages as bold and italics. You'll have to put the text that you have see as bold simply by adding asterisks at the start and end of a word, in case of italics you'll have to add underscore at the start and end of a word. Also, when you receive a message notification, the formatting will be similar as present in the chats, given that the other user has the same version of WhatsApp.
WhatsApp is also expanding its recently added document sharing feature. The latest version lets Android users send PDF files not only from the device storage, but fro, Google Drive and Microsoft OneDrive accounts as well. You'll also be able to send Docs, sheets and slides files from Google Drive, but these files will be automatically converted into a PDF format before being sent.
Additinally, now WhatsApp will show a progress percentage when backing up the chats to local storage. This will let users know how much time it will take to backup the app.
The WhatsApp version 2.12.535 can be downloaded from APK Mirror
