YU YU5200, YU6000 coming soon, reveals import listing
Micromax, in a bid to take on the Chinese smartphone brands in India, announced YU, its online only brand, under which it launched three smartphones in 2015, Yunique, Yureka and Yuphoria, all rock solid device for its price tag. Earlier this year, YU launched Yutopia, its first flagship level smartphone, but unlike the mid-range offering, failed to make an impression.
Now YU is back to the popular mid-range market segment which is very popular in India and ruled by Xiaomi, Lenovo and LeEco as two mid-range YU smartphones codenamed YU5200 and YU6000 were imported to the country, reveals India's Export Import tracking website Zauba.
As per Zauba listing, the YU YU5200 will have 5.2-inch display, whereas the YU6000 will have 60-inch display. Both will have dual SIM slots and support 4G connectivity. The declared value of YU5200 and YU6000 are Rs. 9,036 and Rs. 9,360 respectively, so we can expect to be priced somewhere around Rs. 10,000.
As for the other specs, the YU6000 and YU5200 were spotted on GFXBenchmark website. Check out the specs-
YU5200 specifications

YU6000 specifications

3GB RAM
16GB internal storage

The inclusion of a fingerprint sensor and huge battery on both smartphone could make it an option to consider in the Rs. 10,000 price bracket over the likes of Lenovo's K3 Note & K5 Plus, Xiaomi's Redmi Note 3, Coolpad Note 3 and LeEco Le 1s. At the moment there is no official word from YU regarding any new device, so it could be a while before YU launches these smartphones.
