Apple iPhone SE 64GB model to cost Rs. 49,000 in India
Apple launched its compact 4-inch iPhone SE last month, and revealed that the iPhone SE will go on sale in India on April 8 and the cost of the base model (16GB) will be Rs. 39,000. However it did not reveal the price of the 64GB model. Now Apple India has listed the 64GB model of iPhone SE on its website for Rs. 49,000.
For comparison in the U.S the iPhone SE 16GB and 64GB model are priced at $399 (Rs. 26,500) and $499 (Rs. 33,100) respectively. The pricing of the 64GB model is too high, considering the screen size. The flagship devices of 2016, Galaxy S7/S7 edge, or LG G5 (coming soon) and HTC's upcoming HTC 10 are wise choices to make here by paying a little extra, instead of going for the 64GB iPhone SE model. Xiaomi's flagship Mi 5 costs half of the 64GB iPhone Se. All these devices come with bigger screen and the latest Snapdragon 820 SoC.
Redington India has already announced that it will start selling the iPhone SE across 3000 retail outlets in the country starting April 8. Ingram Micro and Rashi Peripherals will offer the phone through retail outlets, while Online retailers and operators are also expected to sell the iPhone SE.
The Apple iPhone SE gets the design of iPhone 5s and the features of the iPhone 6s (except Force Touch display and the screen size).
