Gigabyte's new Brix mini PCs pack Skylake processor, Thunderbolt 3 port


Gigabyte has unveiled for new models of its Brix mini PC system GB-BSi5T-6200, GB-BSi5HT-6200, GB-BSi7T-6500 and GB-BSi7HT-6500. All four models are equipped Intel's 6th generation Core i Skylake processors and Thunderbolt 3 high-speed USB Type-C ports connectivity.

The system specifications of Brix mini PCs line up include:
  • GB-BSi5HT-6200: Core i5-6200U processor, support for both an M.2 SSD and a 2.5 inch drive
  • GB-BSi5T-6200: Core i5-6200U processor, SSD support only (slimmer case design)
  • GB-BSi7HT-6500: Core i7-6500U processor, SSD and 2.5 inch drive support
  • GB-BSi7T-6500: Core i7-6500U processor, SSD only
All the models include HDMI and Mini DisplayPort to provide support for dual displays, 4 x USB 3.0 port, 1  x Thunderbolt 3 over USB 3.1 Type-C port, 1 x Gigabit Ethernet, a headset jack and 2 x SODIMM slots for DDR4-2133 memory.

 They also come with a wireless card that supports WiFi 802.11ac and Bluetoth 4.2. Gigabyte says that the wireless option may only be available in some regions. Pricing and availability details are not known.
