Huawei launches Talkband B3 fitness tracker

Huawei, apart from unveiling the P9 and P9 Plus flagship at an event in London, also introduced the Huawei TalkBand B3, it's smartwatch/fitness tracker hybrid. It comes in three models TalkBand B3 Active, Classic and Elite, and offers an upgrade in the design and hardware department over the TalkBand B2.

The Huawei TalkBand B3 features a curved PMOLED touchscreen display with a resolution of 128 x 80 pixels and gets a layer of Corning's Gorilla Glass, and an anti-fingerprint coating that prevents smudges and scratches. The wearable lets you make calls for a connected smartphone via dual-microphones and offers fitness tracking features like keeping tab of your daily activities, monitoring sleep patterns and more.

The core module of TalkBand B3 is removable from the wristband and can be used as a Bluetooth headset. It is IP57-certified for dust and water resistance, and is fueled by 91mAh battery, which offers up to six hours of talk time or can last for three to four days. It also gets ambient noise algorithms to reduce wind noise by up to 80 percent and features Capsensor technology, that identifies weather the wearable is on your wrist or not and tries to capture sleep patterns more accurately.

The Huawei TalkBand 3 costs €169 ($192 | Rs. 13,000) for Active model (White and Black bands), €199 ($226 | Rs. 15,000) for Classic model (Beige and Brown bands) and €249 ($283 | Rs. 19,000) for Elite model (Titanium Grey band). The availability details are yet to be announced.
