Samsung is reportedly working on a new series of smartphone called Galaxy C. The first phone under the C series has been spotted at two places, Zauba, India's export-import tracking website and Geekbench 3 benchmark database with model number SM-C5000.
As per the benchmark result, SM-C5000 will be equipped with an octa-core Snapdragon 617 SoC paired with Adreno 405 GPU and 4GB RAM, and run Android 6.01. The test also shows that the SM-C500 has a single-core score of 609, and a multi-core score of 3147. Other details are scarce.
According to Zauba, the SM-C5000 features a 5.2-inch display and a couple of the devices was imported to India from China for testing last month. The declared value of each unit is Rs.18,394, as per the latest listing.
According to Insiders familiar with Samsung's plans, suggest that there is another Galaxy C model, SM-C7000 and both the phones are targeted at the Chinese market, but the sales will not be limited to that country. Since it has entered India for testing, the phone could make it to the country in the near future.
