Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, Mi 5 to go on sale on April 27 in India, no registrations requaired


Xiaomi's most popular budget smartphone the Redmi Note 3, and flagship Mi 5 will be available via open sale on April 27 at 2pm. Open sale means, you'll not have to go through the registration process and wait to get your hands on the device.

The open sale will take place on Xiaomi's India website as well as Amazon India. The Redmi Note 3 2GB RAM + 16GB storage variant is priced at Rs. 9,999, while the 3GB RAM + 32GB storage variant will set you back by Rs. 11,999. The Mi 5 3GB RAM + 32GB storage variants costs Rs. 24,999. In addition to Mi 5 and Redmi Note 3, Xiaomi will also sell the 20000mAh Mi Power Bank on that day, which costs Rs. 1,699.

If you were trying to get your hands on these products, April 27 will be the day to grab one. Xiaomi has not disclosed the number of units that will be up for grabs, but the stock will be limited.

To recap the specs, the Redmi Note 3 comes with 5.5-inch 1080p display, Snapdragon 650 SoC, 2GB/3GB RAM, 16/32GB inbuilt expandable storage, 16MP rear camera/5MP front camera, 4G LTE, hybrid dual slots (for microSD card & SIM), Fingerprint scanner and 4000mAh battery. It runs MIUI 7 based on Android Lollipop.

The flagship, Xiaomi Mi 5 features 5.15-inch 1080p display, Snapdragon 820 SoC, 3GB RAM, 32GB inbuilt expandable storage, 16MP rear camera/4MP front camera, fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C port and 3000mAh battery. It runs MIUI 7 based on Android Marshmallow.
