Apple iPhone 7 Plus to reportedly come with 3GB RAM, dual rear cameras

Apple for the last two years have been releasing two version of iPhones, a standard model with 4.7-inch screen and a Plus model with 5.5-inch screen. Earlier this year, KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo hinted that the Plus model of iPhone 7 will come in two variants, one with single camera and the other with dual cameras.

Now, the analyst is suggesting that Apple will release only one model iPhone 7 Plus and will have dual-cameras setup. The Plus model will also pack 3GB RAM to compensate for the increased image processing needs. He further noted that iPhone 7 Plus will have optical zoon built into the lens, and estimates shipment to hit 20 to 30 million units in 2016.

Meanwhile, in a separate leak, uSwitch has revealed CAD schematics of both iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. The sketches reveal that the iPhone 7 will have the same design as iPhone 6s. The iPhone 7 Plus has three dots on the back, which means that it will have Smart Connector that is present on iPad Pro. One of the schematics show the the dual-camera setup of iPhone 7 Plus. The sketches also show the device without the headphone jack, and the antenna bands have been removed from the rear and are now on the sides.
