GoPro's Karma drone launch delayed until winter
GoPro was expected to launch its drone, Karma in the first half of 2016 and it has been 5 months into 2016 and GoPro has not put the official word out yet. Now the action-camera maker has announced that the launch is delayed until winter holiday, which is in Q4 2016.
The reason behind the delay is not know, but GoPro CEO Nicholas Woodman said that by launching the drone in the holiday season, it will be able to take advantage of that particular period.
GoPro has not been in its best possible financial state for quite some time and the company's Q1 2016 results are not impressive. The release of Karma was seen by analysts as key turning point in the company's fortune, but that will have to wait till Q4 2016 to happen.
GoPro's first Drone, Karma, is expected to capture 4K videos, offer IS (Image Stablization) an have the ability to follow behid the user automatically. Nothing else is known about the drone.
