Pre-booking for LG G5 starts from May 21 in India, Cam Plus module bundled


LG's flagship the G5 with modular design is all set to launch in India. The company has announced that the G5 will be available to pre-book in the country starting tomorrow, May 21, 2016.

Interested customers can pre-book the G5 at their nearest mobile store, LG brand stores and online exclusively on Flipkart between May 21 and May 30. All those who pre-book the LG G5 will get a free LG Cam Plus companion device. LG did not reveal the availability details and the pricing of the G5.

The LG G5 not only packs top-of-the-line hardware specifications, but also offers innovative features like the dual camera setup and modular design, wherein you can swap the chin of the body with the 'Friends' modules, LG provides called "CAM Plus" and "Hi-Fi Plus with B&O Play". 

The Cam Plus module comes with physical buttons for power, shutter, record and zoom and has features like Auto Focus and exposure lock. It also packs an additional battery capacity of 1200mAh. The Hi-Fi Plus is a portable audio player developed in collaboration with B&O Play and supports supports 32-bit 384KHz HD audio playback

The G5 also features an "Always On Display", that lets you check the time, notifications and battery status, when the phone is asleep. As for the hardware specs, the LG G5 has a 5.3-inch Quad HD display and is equipped with Snapdragon 820 SoC w/ Adreno 530 GPU, 4GB RAM, 32GB inbuilt expandable storage, 16MP/8MP dual rear cameras & 8MP front camera, fingerprint scanner, NFC and USB Type-C. It runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow and is fueled by 2800mAh battery w/ Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 support.
