Xiaomi shows Mi Band 2, unveils USB Type-C 10000mAh Mi Power Bank, iHealth box

[Updated]At an event in China today, Xiaomi introduced the 6.44-inch Mi Max, alongside MIUI 8. Unfortunately, the Mi Band 2 was not announced, but it did make a special appearance at the event. In addition, the company also introduced two new accessories — 10000mAh Mi Power Bank with USB Type-C and iHealth box.

Xiaomi CEO Jun Lei showed off the Mi Band 2 at the event and its touch screen function. Lei said that he has been wearing the Mi Band 2 for 20 days (on single charge) and it still has 36 percent charge left. This means, even with the addition of a touch screen, the Mi Band 2 will have a good battery life.

It is already known that Mi Band 2 will have a display that will show battery status, time and health-related stats. It will come with a physical home button and is expected to reduce its dependence on connected smartphone. Lei Jun has already confirmed that Mi Band 2 is delayed by a month due to production problems.

The Xiaomi 10000mAh Mi Power Bank is housed in a durable aluminum alloy metal case and comes with a number of safety features including protection for over charge, over discharge, short circuit, temperature, over voltage, over current, and more. It has a USB Type-C port and a regular port. It measures 12.6mm thick and costs CNY 150 ($23 | Rs.  1,500).

The Xiaomi iHealth box lets you measure your blood pressure and heartbeat with a touch of a button. It also offers real time pulse and heart rate fluctuations. It comes with 4.3-inch color display to show the readings, micro-channel interaction, live voice broadcast, WiFi connectivity and is backed by 2200mAh rechargeable battery. It is priced at CNY 399 ($60 | Rs. 4,000).
