Samsung Galaxy S7 Active live images and possible specs outed
Samsung is working on a rugged variant of Galaxy S7, which will be called Galaxy S7 Active and be exclusive to U.S U.S telecom operator AT&T. Now alleged live images and possible specs (via GFXBench) of Galaxy S7 Active have surfaced online.
The image shows the Galaxy S7 Active with a camouflaged back with IP68 certification for water and dust resistance. It appears to have a metal frame, which will make it sturdy and has three button – back, home and recent apps, below the display. There are slots on either side of the phone, one could be SIM slot (dual) and the other microSD card slot. On the back there is square shaped camera module and below it an AT&T logo.
As for the specs, the Galaxy S7 Active was spotted on GFXBench, revealing possible specification of the phone. The hardware inside Galaxy S7 Active will be same as Galaxy S7 – Snapdragon 820, 4GB RAM, 32GB internal storage, 12MP rear camera and 5MP front camera. The screen resolution QHD (1440 x 2560) is also the same, but screen size will be bigger, 5.5-inch, instead of 5.1-inch of the regular Galaxy S7. The battery capacity is not known.
In addition to being dust and water resistant, the Galaxy S7 Active is also expected to have military-grade MIL-STD-810G protection, which means it will be drop and shock resistant as well.
