Huawei Honor Band A1 fitness and sleep tracker announced
Huawei sub-brand Honor, in addition to announcing the Honor V8 smartphone also introduced its latest fitness tracker, the Band A1.
Much like any other fitness tracker, the Honor Band A1 comes with fitness tracking capabilities including exercise time, cycling, distance walked or run, steps taken and calories burnt. It also has an advanced sleep tracking that can track small naps and calculate quality of sleep, to help you sleep better.
The Band 1 sports metal body, weighs just 20g and comes with skin-friendly silicone or leather strap with. It connects to compatible devices (Android & iOS) via Bluetooth 4.2 and alerts you for incoming calls or SMS with vibration alarm and LED light. The fitness tracker has UV sensor to measure UV sensitivity of the sunlight and recommends you the suitable sunscreen to use.
It is waterproof with IP57 rating and is backed by 70mAh battery, that promises up to 28 days of standby. It can be charged via the standard micro USB port.
The Honor Band A1 is priced at CNY 99 ($15 | Rs. 1,000) for silicone band variant and CNY 199 ($30 | Rs. 2,000) for the leather band variant. It is now available for order in China and will go on sale from May 25.
