Alleged Samsung Galaxy Note7 front panel reveals iris scanner
Earlier this week Evan Blass tipped that Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Note 7 will have Iris scanner. Now backing the claims, Android Authority has shared photos of the alleged front-panel of Galaxy Note 7, which confirms the existence of iris scanner on the phablet. The photo also shows Galaxy Note7's dual-curved design, similar to Galaxy S7 edge.
The Galaxy Note7 will reportedly have three camera on the front above the display, which would be required for accurate Iris scans. A recent patent application by Samsung showed how the iris scanner will work. The patent suggested that three lenses would be required for accurate recognition and the image confirms the same. The feature will let users to unlock device, authorize purchase and more.
Based on earlier reports, the Galaxy Note 7 is expected to come with 5.8-inch Quad HD dual-edge Super AMOLED display, 6GB RAM, 12MP rear camera with dual-pixel PDAF, microSD card slot, IP68 rating for water and dust resistance and a battery size between 3600mAh and 4000mAh. The Galaxy Note7 launch is expected sometime in August, which according to rumor is August 2.
