Possible image of BlackBerry Hamburg/Neon surfaces

BlackBerry has already confirmed that they will release two Android smartphones this year, and they are reportedly called Hamburg and Rome. A couple of days back, reports suggested that BlackBerry is working with TCL, a company behind the Alcatel line-up to produce a version of Alcatel Idol 4 with BlackBerry branding, which will be called Hamburg.

Now live images of the BlackBerry Hamburg have surfaced online and new rumors suggest that the handset will be called Neon. As per the image, the handset will be partially made of aluminum, same as Idol 4 and Idol 4S. Interestingly, the Idol 4S recently was released in the UK under the moniker of Vodafone Smart Platinum 7.

Adding more fuel to the rumor fire is a recent listing of BlackBerry Hamburg/Neon on GFXBench, which lists specs that are identical to the Idol 4, except the processor. As per the listing BlackBerry Hamburg/Neon will feature 5.2-inch 1080p IPS display, Snapdragon 615 SoC, 3GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, 12MP rear camera (w/LED flash), 5MP front camera, Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and NFC.

It is still not known when BlackBerry will release their next handsets, but we do know that they will be positioned at the mid-range market segment and priced between $300 and $400 (Below Rs. 27,000).
