Amazon's Fire HD 10 tablet gets aluminum body, 64GB storage


The Amazon Fire HD 10 tablet was launched in September last year with 16GB internal storage and plastic body. Now the E-retailer has launched a new model of the same tablet dubbed Fire HD 10 with aluminum build and 64GB internal storage.

The tablet costs $289 (Rs. 19,400) and is now available for purchase in the U.S via Amazon.

Apart from aluminum build and higher storage, the rest of the specs of Fire HD 10 Silver Aluminum are same as the old model. The tablet comes with 10.1-inch 1280 x 800 display, 1.5GHz quad-core MediaTek MT835 processor, 1GB RAM, microSD card slot for storage expansion, 5MP rear camera, HD front camera, stereo speaker w/ Dolby Audio and WiFi. It runs Fire OS 5 and promises up to eight hours of battery life on mixed usage.

The 64GB model of Amazon Fire HD 10 joins the 16GB and 32GB storage models, which are priced at $229 (Rs. 15,500) and $289 (Rs. 19,500) respectively. The 16GB and 32GB storage variants come in Black and White colors.
