Honor 8 with dual rear cameras launch set for July 11
Huawei's sub-brand Honor has officially announced that the Honor 8 launch will take place on July 12 in China. The phone was recently certified by TENAA, that confirmed the design and specs. The unique feature of Honor 8 will be the dual rear cameras, the same used in Honor V8.
Accoding to TENAA, the Honor 8 specs include 5.2-inch 1080p display, octa-core Kirin 955 SoC, 4GB RAM, 32GB inbuilt expandable storage (64GB/128GB storage options rumored), 12MP dual rear camera, 8MP front camera, fingerprint scanner, hybrid dual-SIM slots, Android Marshmallow w/ EMUI 4.1, 4G LTE, NFC, USB Type-C and 2900mAh battery. The phone's body is 7.45mm thin, weighs 153g and will come in Black or White color options. It will have a glass back with metal frames to give it a premium look.
The base model of Honor 8 with 32GB will cost CNY 1999 ($305 | Rs. 20,500) and goes up to CNY 2799 ($425 | Rs. 8,600) for the top model with 128GB storage and Quad HD display. The Honor 8 launch event on July 11 starts at 18:30 China time (16:00 IST) and will take place at Shanghai Oriental Sports Center.
