Moto E 2016 to reportedly launch as Lenovo Vibe C2
If a new report is to be believed, Lenovo may be working on the next gen Moto E, but it will reportedly be released as Vibe C2. The company will market the device as Moto E in some regions, however, it will be sold as the Vibe C2 in Asia and some other markets.
The reason for the suspicion is the model number. The Vibe C2 is expected to launch in two versions, carrying model numbers XT1700 and XT1706, which is in line with previous Moto E models such as the XT1021 of the first Moto E and XT1505, XT1511, XT1524 XT1527, model number of second gen Moto E.
Coming to the specs, just like previous Moto E handsets, the Vibe C2 will be an entry-level phone with 5-inch HD display, MediaTek MT6735P SoC, 1GB RAM, 8GB or 16GB internal storage (two models), 8MP rear camera w/ LED flash, 5MP front camera, 4G LTE and 2750mAh battery.
There's currently no word on the launch date of Vibe C2/Moto E 2016, but with the Moto G4/G4 Plus and Moto Z launched recently, we can expect an announcement soon.
